These products provide ready-made solutions for quick installations in commercial or industrial networking/communications applications using Broadcom Versatile Link fiber optic transmitters and receivers. The fiber in this patch cord is suitable for bend radii as small as 2 mm. This particular cable series is for short-distance applications such as those inside cabinets, those that require moderate tensile strength, and yet others that must withstand moderate physical abuse and/or exposure to chemicals This particular cable is made with a multi-core fiber bonded together to create a 1.0 mm optical bundle surrounded by a black polyethylene jacket for an overall diameter of 2.2 mm. These cables are higher priced than the standard 2.2 mm polyethylene and polyamide jacketed series, but offer superior optical transmission in very small bend radii applications. Patch cords are available in multiple standard lengths and shipped from stock or quickly fabricated from stocked inventory to meet short delivery schedules.
