Fiber Cutting and Preparation

Industrial Fiber Optics offers cut-to-length and end-preparation services for purchased spools of bare fiber and single-jacketed fiber cable.

Options include:

• Cutting to length
• Diamond polishing fiber ends
• Stripping fiber jacket (if applicable)
• Individual twist-tying
• Individual packaging

Costs for preparing optical fiber/cable:
$15.00 per spool-length
$.01 per meter
$.02 per regular cut (length tolerance ± 1%)
$.05 per razor cut
$.20 per diamond polish (per end)
$.03 per (jacket) strip (where applicable)
$.07 per for each individually bound length (for longer lengths, this is sometimes mandatory)
$.06 per unit for individual zip-sealed packages
