Industrial Fiber Optics is a US manufacturer of standard, semi-custom, and custom fiber optic connectors for the sensor, industrial, and medical industries. All designs are based on industry standards although, in some cases, are optimized for some specific cable constructions.

Most connector components are fabricated from
(but not limited to) the following materials:

• Stainless Steel
• Aluminum
• Nylon
• Acetal (Delrin®)
• Brass

Some common items like the following are purchased from
well-established ISO 9001 suppliers:

• Dust caps
• Springs
• Strain Relief Boots

The fiber optic connectors which we specialize in are:

• SMA (905, 906, and high-power)
• ST
• FC

The reasons why one would need or want a custom connector are:

1. Standard products are not available in the proper hole size(s).
2. Products do not meet specific technical requirements.
3. An optimized design that would reduce labor content in assemblies.
4. Simplify bill of materials or cost reduction.
