Surface mount LEDs w/2.2mm OD light pipe


Mount, Surface Mount

This is one of two mounts/housings that Industrial Fiber Optics offers for coupling flexible light pipes to printed circuit card surface mount LEDs for off-circuit board indication. The mount is suitable for chip, PLCC, SOT23 or any surface mount LED up to 2.5 mm tall and 5 mm wide on circuit boards 1.6 mm (.062 in) thick.

The mount is made of UL-rated nylon that is injection molded for low cost. It has a quick press fit attachment to the printed circuit board that is shock- and vibration-resistant. (The mount is not physically attached or bonded to LEDs, which eliminates stress to solder joints.)
